Take a step back
in time.
Imagine horse-drawn carriages and old country charm.
The
Smugglers Notch Inn of Jeffersonville, Vermont awaits you!
Our historic inn sits at the foot of Mount Mansfield
and the notorious Smuggler’s Notch. We are located on Route
108, officially recognized as one of two scenic highways in Vermont.
Originally built in 1790, our inn has been lovingly restored making
it a truly unique place to be in a quintessential Vermont town.
Your stay with us would not be complete without sampling the fare of
our restaurant at The Smugglers' Notch Inn. Located in the
downstairs dining room, enjoy a lovely dinner by our fireplace while
you gaze upon the breathtaking grounds of the inn. Our food is
casual elegance at its finest, prepared by world-class chefs at a
price you can afford. What could be better!
After your meal, take a walk downstairs to our newly
renovated Village Tavern of Jeffersonville. There you will find an
assortment of drinks and entertainment. Of course, there is always a chance that one of
our local bands may stop by for a set or two!
Due to the increased transmission of the Coronavirus
in the northeast and the significant decline in non-quarantine
counties that are able to travel to Vermont, we have decided to
make the difficult decision and not be open through the end of
2020. Our current plans are to open back up in January. We
will continue to update our website with any additional changes.
We look forward to welcoming back guests soon.
The Village Tavern is currently open and has no
plans to close at this time.
